weekend in review...

Andrew seemed a little under the weather this weekend so we were couped up in the house. The boys found plenty to do though....

Andrew blamed it on Blake!! All I heard was...Blake..no,no!!

We skipped church Sunday. So, Andrew decided preach for us...

1. Public restrooms gross me out so much that I won't even chew my gum in them.

2. I'm a reality TV freak. If it's a reality show...I'll probably watch it.

3. I LOATHE soap operas.

4. I can't stand stores that don't have enough room for strollers because they are packed with clothes....GYMBOREE and CHILDREN'S PLACE!! This doesn't stop me from shopping in them tho. I usually have Matt watch the boys or curse the store while I'm shoving my stroller between racks!!

5. I don't do the dinner dishes. Matt basically does them every night. If the boys don't need a bath that night then I'll be nice and help.

6. I try not to stay signed into Yahoo Messenger in the mornings so I can stay on top of the housework. Otherwise I get distracted talking to people online and emailing (Jill P., Kristi, and family) all morning!!

Matt wants me to add that I leave shoes around the house. Matt, we all can't be as perfect as you!! :P

happenings...

We'll we've had a busy week and I'm glad that we have NOTHING to do today...except meet some friends for dinner.

Matt painted on Wednesday and finished our room. It looks really nice and was the exact color I wanted...unlike our front room. :) He says he's done painting and if I see any mistakes not to tell him. It looks great!...especially for someone who doesn't tape!

Yesterday we had playgroup. Jill P. wanted me to fill y'all in on this. She wondered what one does at a play group. We don't have crafts or activities for the kids unless it falls on a holiday. We just let the kids run and play while the moms snack and chat!! There are 6 of us that do it and a total of 12 kiddos. 4 of those kiddos aren't walking. So, it's fun for all ages. Yesterday it was here and thankfully it was a nice day that that the kids played on to swing set the whole time! Less mess for my house!

Andrew is really loving his brother. He is constantly trying to get Blake to come play in his room. It's quite funny. I'm not sure why as Blake just wants to chew on his cars and tear his train tracks up...but he's learning what NO means! Also, Andrew is POTTY TRAINED!!! That's me screaming!! I'm so thrilled! It was such a long process of him telling me when he needed to go and then just not wanting to go at all. But he tells me when he needs to go and has been doing really well for almost two weeks now. I still put a pull-up on over his big boy underwear when we go out of the house just incase. I'm so proud of him. It definitely happened overnight!

Blake is a mess with a fun personality. He definitely tests his limits but is understanding what NO means. (Andrew loves telling Blake when he shouldn't be doing something.) He's started clapping the right way (not one had on top of the other) and if I have a show on and the audience starts clapping he does too. It's funny. He's standing longer by himself and getting a little more courageous trying to crawl up on things.

Well, I guess that's it from here. My maid didn't come today so I have some cleaning to do. :)

happy valentine's day!

I've never been big into Valentine's Day. I actually think it's overrated! However, since Andrew's old enough to understand it a little I decided to make it a fun day. We made some heart-shaped cookies and Andrew kept sneaking bites of cookie dough!! Yes, that's exactly what I want my 2 year old eating is raw cookie dough.

Then we made a card for Daddy, colored some Vday pictures and made this hat. He had the hat on all morning. I really thought he was going to take it to nap. But, he didn't.

Well, the boys are down and I need to get this house in shape for our play group tomorrow. Hope you have a great Valentine's Day...or Wednesday!

sooooo big...

Blake learned how to do SO BIG!!! I tried to get him to show off some other tricks but he wouldn't. I guess he doesn't like to show off like his big brother.


Also want to shout-out to Michelle for driving ALL THE WAY up here and hooking Blake up with some clothes. You rock!! Sorry I missed you and hope the kiddos start feeling better.

at it again...

Yesterday we painted our front room/dining room. Well, I should say we painted it Saturday but it did NOT turn out the yellow I was wanting. So, we tried again yesterday. We started covering up the ugly yellow and really started to like the new yellow...

until...

it set.

It turned out pretty bright. I really didn't want a color that was bold and that's pretty much what I got. I know you are thinking...just paint over it. I'm tired of painting and so is Matt. Tomorrow we are painting our bedroom....well, I'm going shopping WITHOUT KIDS and Matt's going to watch them and paint...good luck, Matt! :) So, for now I'll live with the bold color and if it really bothers me we'll paint in a couple of months. We hardly use that room so for now I'm okay with it.

9 months

Today we took Blake in for his 9 month well visit. Poor guy had to get 3 shots but only two pokes! He was not happy! He's a growing boy tho... weight was 21 lbs 3 oz (55%) and height was 29 1/2 inches (90%)...can't remember what his head was but it was 75%. I was kinda thinking he was getting bigger than Andrew was at 9 months but he actually weighs less and is taller! Anyway, hopefully Blake won't have any reaction to the shots. Only 3 more months until his first birthday!!! I just can't believe it! :(

what a day!

It was such a beautiful day that we spent the afternoon outside...and in SHORTS! Here are some pics I took. Blake was kind of in a daze as he had just woken up. We must have worn him out tho as he hit the hay at six tonight! If only we had done the same with Andrew. *sigh*

blogworthy

The other day I blogged about my cart at Target. How I ALWAYS seem to get the LOUDEST cart...and they always usually try to pull to a certain side. Anyway, Matt checked my blog that day and told me that blog was not BLOGWORTHY!!!!! I told him his opinon doesn't matter because it's MY blog. Plus I was annoyed at the time and blah, blah, blah. WELL, today we went to Sam's and I pushed the boys in the stroller while he grabbed a cart. He starts coming over to me and his cart was ALL JACKED UP!! It was SO stinking funny! It was SO loud that he immediately turned around and got a new cart...or buggy as Meredith D would say! Hey, MATT...how's that for blogworthy!!

where's my morning?

Where did the morning go? Lovely Andrew woke me up at 7:15 AM and lucky Blake got to sleep until 8. I took the boys for a walk this morning but cut it short as I was afraid I was going to get caught in a storm. Now I look at the clock and it's almost 11:30 and I don't have much to show for it. I haven't been too productive...well, unless you count playing with the boys and changing poopy diapers productive. Guess I need to quit being productive on my blog and go help Andrew. He's calling for help because Blakezilla is destroying his train and track. I cannot keep that boy away from Andrew's trains!!!!!

Why is it that EVERY TIME I go to Target I pick the loudest cart? Seriously! There are probably 50 carts to choose from and I pick the loudest one. You know, the one that makes so much noise everyone turns to see who the crap is making all that noise?! Yep, it's me! And it always happens when I'm by myself so it makes it even more embarrassing. I'd turn around and get another but by the time I figure it out...it's too late. People are already looking. I would rather push a cart with my child throwing a fit then that jacked-up thing!

PUPPY BOWL? My niece, Nicole, told us to turn on the Puppy Bowl for Andrew on Animal Planet. He instantly fell in love... Then Blake had to get in on the action...

I think it's funny that this is even a show. They do it every year. Seriously, who watches this? I guess kids. Andrew's enjoyed watching it but they have too many commercials and he's getting a little annoyed! Blake has enjoyed shaking his butt to the music.

There will be no SB party for us tonight as Blake is sick with croup..at least that's what I think he has. I couldn't even tell you who is playing so I really don't care.
