buds

Our little friend, Luke, came over to play today. The boys had fun and got along really well. They constantly were playing with the same toy but no fights broke out. :)
Everyone trying to play with the Mickey car.
Then Andrew decided he needed a turn with his LITTLE brother pushing him!

Here's cutie Luke...
And cutie B...
And goofy Andrew...

this week....

I've come to the realization that my days with these boys need to be structured or it gets a little crazy!! So, here's what we've been up to...
Andrew sorting some Fruit Loops. Surprisingly he waited until he was done before he started eating them!
He was proud of his work but wouldn't smile for the camera.
Then he looped the them on a string...
and made a pretty necklace. :)
Seriously, he cried when he ate all the Fruit Loops off his necklace! What a kid!

He also glued paper on an apple....

And today we made an apple tree out of our hands...well, I didn't but Blake and Andrew did. Can you tell which one is Blake's?? :)
Can't leave out Blake! He joins us when he can or sits and colors while we work.

hardest time of the day

The hardest time of the day for me is after nap. That's usually about 2:30 or 3 PM. I need something to entertain the boys with until dinner is ready. It's too hot to go outside and on Mondays the pool is closed. So, today I decided to bring the boy's table into the kitchen and pulled out the playdough... Andrew loves playdough, but has trouble getting it flat so he can cut something out.
Blake didn't like the feel of playdough at all. It was funny. He did, however, enjoy chewing on the cutters.

B gave up the cutouts and decided to chow down on some goldfish.
And, he got a little camera shy...
Then we did a little coloring. Andrew was mad the white crayon wouldn't work on the white paper...go figure!

Blake enjoyed coloring too...until he got in trouble for trying to eat a crayon!!!

So, all were entertained and nobody got hurt! Guess that makes for a good day!

too hot!!

In the evenings we've been going out back since it's too darn hot to go out after nap. Thought I'd share some pics...
Andrew (in his crocs he'd been praying for...don't ask) pushing Blake.

My only child who will somewhat pose for the camera.

Blake likes to push Andrew on this big wheel...that is when they aren't fighting over it.Blake and his 4-wheeler. He's one tough dude!

what a week

We got back from Lake Conroe yesterday evening. It was SO nice to only have a 30 minute drive home!! That's my kind of a vacation!!

I will have to say this was probably one of our easiest vacations. Not sure if it's because the boys are older or because we didn't have long to drive. It just wasn't stressful!! It was so nice to not have to pack an unpack 50 million times, worry about seeing all family and friends, and luggin my kids all over the place hoping they get naps in and aren't crabby!!

We spent the days boating, eating (way too much!) and playing in the pool. I was so glad that they had a kiddie pool because it made my life so much easier!

Here's Blake driving the boat...

And here's Andrew. He didn't care to drive the boat. He just wanted to honk the horn! The boys would just sit and enjoy the ride. Blake would usually fall asleep. It was nice!! This pic B is messing with the radio. We just ate so his belly was full and he was ready to party!
Andrew went fishing in the evenings with Daddy! The first fish he caught he got so excited and scared that he nearly threw his rod in the lake. It was funny! Daddy was brave and took Andrew out fishing on his boat. Andrew had a BLAST! Guess they've found a new hobby!!It was pretty cool because they have places you can dock and go shopping or eat. Places like... Starbucks, Double Dave's Pizza, McDonald's and others. For Andrew's birthday two of his little friends came and we rode on the boat to McDonald's. The kids were so excited!!! Here's where you dock to go to McDonald's. Can you see the arches??
Family shot without the birthday boy. He was too busy looking for McDonald's!
That evening Ann and Ron came over and we boated over to Eldorado Jack's for some wings and burgers. Then we came back and celebrated some MORE!...

Andrew had a VERY busy day that day! He had a blast and got way too many presents!!!

So, that's how our days were spent! We had a really nice time and enjoyed seeing my parents. We hated to see them leave today. The boys will miss all the attention and I will miss them entertaining my boys!!!

Here are some random pics...
The lake is 21 miles long...I think. There was a lot to see and do!
I thought my parents had a nice boat...then I saw this!! There were some HUGE boats out there.

bye bye lovie bear

Poor B lost his lovie bear. :( I'm so bummed. I'm not sure really where it happened. We had gone to the Drs about a week ago or so and I'm pretty sure that was the last place we saw it. I know I didn't leave it in the room as I did a check before we left but I'm thinking we lost him in the parking lot. I know a lot of people don't take their lovies out of the house for that reason. I ALWAYS pack one because a lovie is more comforting to him than a passy. Guess I'll just have to pay more attention when we get in the car. Well, bye bye lovie bear. We'll miss you. We hope one day you and your bitten up nose will show back up.

just a little random stuff

Blake is obsessed with this 4-wheeler. Andrew got it for his first birthday and barely used it. He still won't get on it much. Blake climbs on, pushes the button and just takes right off. He's definitely more of a daredevil than his big brother.

I decided it had been a while since I tried to take pics of the boys together and this is what I got.
You can definitely see Blake's personality in this picture. He is SO silly!

This was the best one...oh well.

And here they are in action.... I have to add this funny story of Andrew...For the past month or so he's been doing chores. We have a chore sheet with 5 chores and I'll give him a sticker for each chore he does. At the end of the day his gets a penny for each sticker. I know, it's not much but he gets SO excited over a penny so I need to enjoy it while I can. :) Anyway, one of his chores is putting his clothes in the hamper. So, yesterday I had pulled some clothes out and put them in the corner of the room for our trip to the lake this weekend. I like to pull stuff out early so I'm not washing all his clothes at the last minute. Well, I started to look for his old swimsuit as we were going to the pool. I remembered I had pulled it out and put it in the corner of his room with the clothes we were taking to the lake. So, I go in there to get it and ALL the clothes were GONE. At first I wondered if Matt had moved them but soon realized Andrew had put them ALL in the hamper. ugh! I had to laugh tho. At least he's getting the idea, I guess.
