bath play by play...

Here's how bath time went down tonight. It started out good. Everyone was playing and sharing Mr. Duck....

But Blake started drinking the bath water and got a little tipsy. Things just went downhill after that... Blake stole Andrew's crayon. And when Andrew realized this...
Blake was not very happy.But Mommy made it all better when she took all crayons away. Andrew thinks he won the battle.I don't normally have crayons in the tub when Blake is around but the bath was originally for Andrew.

Andrew's still sick. Guess I'll be making a trip to the doctors tomorrow. That's always fun. Andrew hates that place. Especially when he realizes we are there for him and not Blake.

Andrew's sick AGAIN! ug! I know the Dr. said his upper respiratory infection would last 7-10 days. Well, 10 days was yesterday. That's when he started running fever. Actually it was 2 AM! I really thought he was over the uri like 4 days ago. So I'm sure this is something else. I don't know how because he hasn't left the house! He keeps complaining his tummy hurts but keeps eating. I'm so worried he's going to puke! Last night he woke up burning up and crying at 9:30 and I just moved him to my bed. I didn't feel like getting up a million times during the night. He went back to sleep about 11 and didn't wake up until 4:30 AM. You would think I would have gotten 5 straights hours of sleep but no, that boys is ALL over the place!! I'm determined to get 5 consecutive hours next week! Matt's been working nights so he isn't around much to help.

I really hope Blake doesn't get it. I have his pack 'n play back out for him to play in some but don't know if that even helps. Andrew still walks over there and talks to him. I also caught Blake drinking out of Andrew's cup! Oh joy!
Anyway, over the past week Blake has started really walking. He's all over the place! It's so weird to come around the corner and have him walking towards you. He is one busy little boy!

happy Easter

Since we weren't able to go to church this morning, I put the boys in part of their Easter outfits to hunt for eggs and baskets. It was a nice cool morning!

Andrew found an egg! Outta my way! I'm off to find an egg.

Found it!Getting warmer, Andrew! It took Andrew a while to find this egg. Matt and I were cracking up! Andrew couldn't figure out what was so funny.
Blake found his "basket" in his swing! It's a new pool!! The Easter Bunny brings us one EVERY year!

Well, I think the boys are over their sickness. Sweet Blake passed his on to me. Hopefully this will only be a 24 hour thing and I'll be good to go tomorrow!

We colored some eggs today. I wasn't really into it like I wanted to be...for obvious reasons. Andrew had fun tho. Guess that's all that matters.

sick kiddos

Well, Andrew's still sick. Threw up this morning. Thankfully it was right when Matt was getting home from work and it was in the kitchen. I took off his new comforter because I REALLY don't want to be cleaning that. I'm praying Blake doesn't get it!

Blake, who is playing in bed instead of napping, is doing a little better. He's been running fever but I think he might be on the mends. I've pulled out his pack 'n play to keep him away from Andrew. He seems to really like playing in it. Guess because he doesn't have to fight his brother for a toy!!

This morning we were supposed to have some friends over to color eggs and play but had to cancel. They are all at another friend's house and Andrew is a little bummed.

Well, hopefully this will pass before Easter!

what a week...so far

I've been so worn out this week! I need to get to bed earlier b/c my patience are short these days!

Took the boys up to the Children's Museum to play with some friends. It ended up being a big pain. Andrew was SO whiney! When a kid would walk up to the train table he'd let go of his train in fear that the kid was going to steal it...and they would! I don't blame them tho. It's fair game if you let go!! Andrew doesn't understand that. Then, we went to the dig and he wanted the big truck and it was being played with by another kid. ug! After lunch we all parted our ways (I'm sure my friends were glad) and I took the boys to Dillard's to look for shoes for Blake. Andrew spotted some Nemo things for his Crocs. They were $6 and I was willing to pay that. Then he spotted some turtles that were $10 and HAD to have THOSE. I'm sorry but I'm not paying $10 for those dumb things! So a big fit was thrown and we left the store with NOTHING! He doesn't like to potty in stores either because when you flush it's too loud...so that was another battle!! ug!

Then he woke up from his nap with gunk in his eye. Took him to the doctor and he has an upper respiratory infection!! Guess that explains all fit throwing...okay, well, SOME of the fit throwing. Guess being 2 explains the other half.

I will say the best part of the week was when he came home from the store with Daddy and walked in with flowers saying...here, Mommy!! It was so sweet!

Well, I'm tired and off to bed so I will have more patience tomorrow!!

Today Andrew had a birthday party at Pump It Up! We had never been there and I'm really not sure why! Andrew was pretty nervous as it's a little overwhelming when you first walk in. There were about 4 huge bouncy things. Finally after 30 mins or so he warmed up and was unstoppable on the slide! He had a blast!! Andrew and his bud Gavin.

Blake had a blast too. The party was right in the middle of his nap and he was a trooper! He was out when he hit that car seat.

what a day

Today was so nice that we spent most of the afternoon outside...in shorts! Well, I was in capris as my legs are too white for shorts. Didn't want to blind the neighbors. Anyway, here are a few pics...
