yep, another pic of my kiddo...

Every two months I take the boys to get their pictures made...well, up until they turn a year. I used to take Andrew to Target but got tired of them and have been using Penney's with Blake. They do an OK job. Sometimes I think I do a better job. Anyway, the girl started taking pics of B and then changed the backdrop to this brown sheet and brought out this brown crate. The whole time I'm thinking...EWWW! But it ended up being his best shot!

I'm thinking he'll be a model in a couple of years.

ramblings..

I'm sorry for the lack of posting lately. Things have been a little busy around here....

I worked in Blake's scrapbook for the past couple of weeks. After doing over 30 pages I called it quits! I'm thinking after Blake turns one I'll finish it up. I'm glad to have all that stuff put away! These pics are for Jill P. Jill, these aren't my best, but I took these before you asked for my sis.

Then, this past weekend we went to Bossier. Don't be mad that I didn't call you because I didn't call any friends! I always struggle with wanting to see family and friends when we go to Shreveport and there just isn't enough time! It was a 2-day trip and I hadn't seen family in 6 months so they won and were blessed with our presence all weekend. We hope to go back in May and maybe I'll be able to hook up with friends then!

We no more than got to Bossier and Blake was running a fever! Ugh! Why is it when we go out of town the boy gets sick? Anyway, he had a bad night the first night so the next day we took him to a clinic and the Dr couldn't find anything wrong with him. He had a rash ALL over his body and the Dr couldn't find anything wrong with him!!! I was so annoyed. I mean, at least just say it's a virus! He was better by Sunday and back to normal.

Anyway, while we were there we took Andrew to a Mardi Gras parade. I was excited because I figured he would love it.

My nieces look thrilled to be at the parade, huh? I think they've been to one too many!! Lauren is making fun of Andrew's backpack. She thinks the "leash" is funny. I wasn't taking any chances of losing him in that huge crowd.

Andrew wasn't sure what to think of the floats. The music and smell of alcohol were pretty overwhelming!

My sister made this pillowcase for Andrew. He LOVES it! I seriously don't know if I will ever be able to wash it.

We headed home early Sunday. It was funny because when we backed out of my sister's driveway Andrew started bawling and saying...bye Louisiana. Matt and I had all to do not to laugh at the poor boy.

Monday Andrew woke up with a fever! He's fine today so hopefully we'll get back into the grove of things soon!!

I really liked a color in my sister's house and it inspired us to use our Home Depot gift cards!! (we've been collecting them for the past two years!) We have done quite a bit of painting lately and I'm seriously pooped! When we've painted in the past it was the boy's rooms. Since I was pregnant I had a good excuse not to help. Unfortunately, I'm not prego so I've been one painting fool. Matt can't get over how helpful I am!!

Oh and Andrew's been helpful too! He likes to sit at the bottom of the ladder.

So, now you see why my blog has been neglected!! :)

That was then....Gavin (8 1/2 months) & Andrew (8 months)

This is now....

Today Andrew had a friend come over. He has been anxiously awaiting Gavin to come over since Monday. Every day I had to listen to...Gavin's coming over on Friday! Today when Andrew woke up he said it again and was thrilled to find out that today was actually Friday!!

The boys had fun and it didn't take them long at all to play with EVERY toy in the house!!...

While the boys colored, Blake chowed down on a banana! He loved having Gavin here too! It was someone else to follow around!

Just for refference...Blake is as old now as Andrew was in the picture. I think Andrew might be a little chunkier than Blake! Andrew's thinned out so much now that I forget what a chunky boy he was!

We had Blake's 6 month pics done in November and we JUST got them back. I guess with the Christmas holidays it took a while to get them in. Usually it doesn't take that long. Since I don't have a scanner I took a pic of them with my camera to put them on here. I'm such a scammer! Anyway, some are a little bright from the light. Blake 6 months

Then I had one of both boys taken. Well, 3 to be exact. Andrew wasn't very cooperative so we had to go with this one.

Yep! Today it got down to 60 degrees!! We had a cool front come through. I would say cold front but 60 isn't cold! Anyway, I'll take what I can get. Ashley, your comment was funny on my last post!

it's january...

and my AIR CONDITIONER is on today. Seriously, there is just something wrong with running your air in the winter. It's 77 degrees here!! I know I should be thankful that I don't have to deal with a "real" winter and all that comes with it ...but...I just wish it was COOLER!!

where are the bloggers???

Well, we've moved Andrew into his big boy bed! I've really been dreading it. I've heard too many horror stories...kind of like potty training. I decided the best way to do it was at nap time. We set up the webcam so now I can watch him while I blog!! What would we do without technology! Anyway, he's done really well. He got out of bed the one time (to get a toy of course) and hasn't gotten out again....and no, I didn't beat him. :) Now if we could just get potty training down!!

He's turned into such a picky eater these days. We are lucky if we get one good meal out of him. Any tips? I try not to let him snack too close to dinner. Foods he used to love...he won't touch! McDonald's? Nope...SO cannot be my child! Seriously, what child doesn't like McDonald's??
Blake is doing well and getting big...in more ways than one! He'll be 8 months in a few days and I just can't believe it. He's definitely on the move these days. Guess he figures he needs to keep up with his brother. He's OBSESSED with Andrew's car and wherever Andrew drops one..Blake will find it! He even crawls down the hallway to Andrew's room looking for them! Seems like he's in to more things than Andrew was but Andrew didn't crawl long. Who knows.
Andrew wouldn't eat his green beans for lunch...so Blake did! Andrew wasn't sure what to think about that. Well, if you haven't updated in a while...you need to update!! Don't make me call YOU out!

tub time and rambling...

Seems like the only time I think to pull out the camera is when the boys are in the tub...Andrew loves dumping water on his head. When I do it he freaks out! Go figure.
He also thinks it's funny to dump water on Blake's head. Good thing Blake is so laid back!

We were honored with Hardy's presence the other day. He was passing through and stopped by for a little visit.

Most of you know this, but my surgery went well. My Dr. said my cyst on my head was intertwined between two veins and it could come back. Right now we just have to make sure that I don't get an infection. I had some AWFUL headaches afterwards. I literally felt like my head was going to explode but for the past two days I haven't had them. Hopefully they are gone! I'm supposed to make an appointment in the morning to get my stitches out and I can't wait!

Since I've started my job I've worked a whole 10 hours total! They seem pretty laid back like they said they were so hopefully this will continue. I like working little and using their discount!
