coloring some eggs..

Well, I think the boys are over their sickness. Sweet Blake passed his on to me. Hopefully this will only be a 24 hour thing and I'll be good to go tomorrow!

We colored some eggs today. I wasn't really into it like I wanted to be...for obvious reasons. Andrew had fun tho. Guess that's all that matters.

sick kiddos

Well, Andrew's still sick. Threw up this morning. Thankfully it was right when Matt was getting home from work and it was in the kitchen. I took off his new comforter because I REALLY don't want to be cleaning that. I'm praying Blake doesn't get it!

Blake, who is playing in bed instead of napping, is doing a little better. He's been running fever but I think he might be on the mends. I've pulled out his pack 'n play to keep him away from Andrew. He seems to really like playing in it. Guess because he doesn't have to fight his brother for a toy!!

This morning we were supposed to have some friends over to color eggs and play but had to cancel. They are all at another friend's house and Andrew is a little bummed.

Well, hopefully this will pass before Easter!

what a week...so far

I've been so worn out this week! I need to get to bed earlier b/c my patience are short these days!

Took the boys up to the Children's Museum to play with some friends. It ended up being a big pain. Andrew was SO whiney! When a kid would walk up to the train table he'd let go of his train in fear that the kid was going to steal it...and they would! I don't blame them tho. It's fair game if you let go!! Andrew doesn't understand that. Then, we went to the dig and he wanted the big truck and it was being played with by another kid. ug! After lunch we all parted our ways (I'm sure my friends were glad) and I took the boys to Dillard's to look for shoes for Blake. Andrew spotted some Nemo things for his Crocs. They were $6 and I was willing to pay that. Then he spotted some turtles that were $10 and HAD to have THOSE. I'm sorry but I'm not paying $10 for those dumb things! So a big fit was thrown and we left the store with NOTHING! He doesn't like to potty in stores either because when you flush it's too loud...so that was another battle!! ug!

Then he woke up from his nap with gunk in his eye. Took him to the doctor and he has an upper respiratory infection!! Guess that explains all fit throwing...okay, well, SOME of the fit throwing. Guess being 2 explains the other half.

I will say the best part of the week was when he came home from the store with Daddy and walked in with flowers saying...here, Mommy!! It was so sweet!

Well, I'm tired and off to bed so I will have more patience tomorrow!!

Today Andrew had a birthday party at Pump It Up! We had never been there and I'm really not sure why! Andrew was pretty nervous as it's a little overwhelming when you first walk in. There were about 4 huge bouncy things. Finally after 30 mins or so he warmed up and was unstoppable on the slide! He had a blast!! Andrew and his bud Gavin.

Blake had a blast too. The party was right in the middle of his nap and he was a trooper! He was out when he hit that car seat.

what a day

Today was so nice that we spent most of the afternoon outside...in shorts! Well, I was in capris as my legs are too white for shorts. Didn't want to blind the neighbors. Anyway, here are a few pics...

time change and b

I was truly dreading the time change. I figured the boys would be all outta wack! I even tried to find an old post to see if it messed Andrew up last Spring. No such luck. Anyway, I'm lovin' it!! The boys are waking up an hour later and still going to bed at the same time! I actually had to wake Andrew up the past two days because he's been sleeping until 8 and that's just too late. If he goes past that I'm pretty sure he wouldn't nap. I can't be having no naps for him yet!!! I'm sure in a few weeks things will get back to normal and Blake will be back to waking up at 7 but until then...I'm enjoying it!! Now if I would just get to bed early!!

Here's my little trouble maker!!

I let him play in this cabinet the other day so he would quit tuggin' on my pants while I made breakfast. He had it destroyed in less than a minute!!!

slacker

Yeah, I've been a slacker lately when it comes to bloggin. Don't really have a good excuse!

We moved Andrew out of his toddler bed and into a daybed. He has always done really well with staying in bed and doesn't get out until we go in there and open the door. However, he started throwing a fit a few weeks ago when it comes to going to bed or taking a nap. He tries to stretch out story time...asks us to rock him...you name it. I'll leave the room and he'll call me back in. Unfortunately for him, I only go back once! So, that's the major issue with him.

He has a big ol' bed and sleeps just on his pillow. Guess he just loves the pillow case so much that my sister gave him!! Crazy kid! I still have some stuff to get for his bed...like sheets and a bed skirt and then I think we'll be done in there.

Little B's not feeling all that great. He started with a fever yesterday after church. He just got up from his nap and while he's not running a fever he's very clingy!! Well, I'm being paged!

granny, buddy and boys...

Matt's parents and sister came in this past weekend. We had a nice visit with them. It's always nice to have company come in that change diapers, give baths and entertain your kiddos! Saturday we went to Old MacDonald's Farm. We were there maybe two hours and could have stayed longer but the place was closing. Andrew had a blast! He got to touch all kinds of animals and I was right behind him with sanitizer!!!He definitely enjoyed his ride on the horse. He just jumped right up there.

And he enjoyed the weak train ride with Granny and Aunt Rachel.

Blake enjoyed being carried by Buddy the WHOLE time.

The boys definitely enjoyed all the attention!...you know, because they are so mistreated!!

I have to add that Blake has been taking 3 steps today!! He's done just one step a couple of times but I figured that really doesn't count. But 3 counts! I put him down from his chair after lunch and he wanted to stand and then took 3 steps. He's still wobbly so I'm sure it will be a while before he really takes off, but it's a start!
