crazy boys and little update

For the letter B we made caterpillars....

I found out less than a week ago that I'm anemic. I did the glucose test (which I passed...not sure how since I totally ganked it up) and I guess they go ahead and check for anemia. When the nurse called to tell me I'm anemic I was SO glad!! I don't know how I didn't think of it. I have been SO tired. I don't feel like I ever had that 2nd trimester burst of energy. So, I've been on iron pills for the past 5 days and today was the first day I felt like I actually had energy and didn't need a nap! Yea!!

We've also FINALLY decided on a name for our little girl!! It came down to Caroline (which I really liked...Caroline has been my favorite girl name since before having kids) and Claire. We decided to let the boys pick what name they liked the best and they chose Claire Elizabeth! So, we are all ready for November to get here so we can meet little Claire!!

Andrew is starting PreK in a week so I ordered him some tags from The Blue Barn for his lunch boxes. I figured a lunch box is too hard to monogram...so what better way to put his name on it?? Yes, he has two lunch boxes. The McQueen one was a gift. I actually used them both throughout the year last year.
And while Blake is still on a waiting list...I went ahead and had one made for his lunch box too!!

my big boy

A week ago we moved Blake into his BIG BOY BED!! I couldn't believe it was that time already. We had the toddler bed/crib my sister let us borrow for Andrew, but we (okay I) thought Blake could just go straight to a big bed.

The first night he did great...no problem going down. The second night?...not so much! He cried and fussed and I was beginning to think we'd (okay, I) had made a mistake. I went in there and pulled a Super Nanny on him. I sat on his floor by his door and he was asleep in 15 mins. The whole time I was worried I was going to have to sit in there for weeks before he'd go to bed on his own. I was beginning to wonder what I had just started. The third night he said he wanted his Nemo. It was an aquarium that was attached to his crib. We couldn't attach it to his bed, but we figured out a way to put it on his bookshelf. It comes with a remote and this thing has saved me!! That third night and on...he's gone down like a pro. I guess it was a security for him. After nap...he asked me to take this pic of him.

In the mornings he does great. EVERY time we put him to bed he says, "stay in bed until Mommy comes to get you!!" Like it's a game. When I go in there to get him he's so proud of himself!! I'm proud of him too. I really thought he would try to come out of his room, but he hasn't. Hope this don't change this week. I'm probably jinxing myself!! It's a new toy for the boys to play on!

pool time!!

While this summer has been EXTREMELY HOT, it has been a great summer for swimming! The boys have really enjoyed it too. They both have turned into little fish! Their favorite thing has been the slide. It took Andrew a while to get used to it. He didn't like water splashing in his face. Now he loves it!

Blake could have cared less. He is such a little firecracker!! He was ALL about the slides this summer.

These boys are a mess! Some days they drive me bonkers and others they crack me up. They've been all into having their picture taken while they act goofy.

They get so excited to show Daddy what they've made that it actually makes it more fun. I just hope I have the energy to keep up with it the next couple of months.

weekend with jill!!!

This past weekend Jill came in for a visit!! Mandy and Kristi were supposed to come in, but they had some stuff come up. Kristi, you are excused since you were just here. Mandy, we need to talk! :)

We started off the weekend visiting Jennifer and her girls!

The girls are getting so big! Last time I saw them they were only a month old or so. They are six months now and definitely at a fun age!

I'm holding J and Jill is holding E. J was about to take a bath...she does have clothes! Don and Matt were awesome and let us have some girl time. I definitely needed the girl time!!Before Jill left we headed to the spa for some pampering...definitely much needed too!!

I didn't get ANY other pics!! Jenn sent me these! Anyway, it was a good visit!! Thanks for coming to see us, Jill!!! The boys enjoyed your attention too!! Come see us again!!

life around here

Well, Katherine left almost a week ago and we were sad to see her leave. Andrew really was. He cried and cried. He wanted to go stay at their house. If they lived closer...I would have packed his bags!! :)I thought this was funny...Blake fell asleep with his trains from the Big Loader. Guess he likes them watching him sleep!

Then we worked on the letter A. This is really for Blake, but Andrew enjoyed it too. Can you tell which A is Blake's? Not sure why it's sideways.

Then we made an alligator out of the letter A. I got the idea from the No Time for Flash Cards blog. I'm too lazy to link it right now.

almost 25 weeks

Well, I'm almost 25 weeks and I'm definitely ready for the cooler weather! This has been the summer of tanks for me. My poor niece has been here a week and it's all I've worn. It's just too durn hot to wear anything else.

Not sure if you can click on this picture, but I'm definitely carrying this baby differently. She is SO low and my back feels it! My doctor keeps telling me I'm right on target and measure to my week, but I sure don't feel like it!

little update and pool fun

I'm still here....just not much to blog about...it's too hot to do anything!!

I think I'm 25 weeks. Is that sad that I don't know? Poor baby girl is already being neglected. She still doesn't have a name yet. No, we aren't keeping it a secret, we just haven't committed to anything yet. They boys have names they like, but I'm trying to figure out what I like.

I've finally found her bedding! I'm so excited! I've been looking for months now! When I order it I'll post a pic...because then it will be official! We haven't even started on her room yet. We'll probably do that next month. I've got to clean out that room! And no, the boys won't be sharing. I don't know if I could handle that!

I'm completely exhausted these days and this heat isn't helping matters. ug! My niece is here and will be here all this week. It's nice having her around to play with the boys. They definitely fight over her attention.
