home alone
Yep, we're home alone! (picture me doing the McCauley Culkin face) Matt left today to go to Omaha for work. He'll be back later this week. I did really well keeping up with the house and both boys happy...until dinner time. Andrew and Blake wanted to eat at the same time. Since I didn't have Andrew's dinner ready...Blake won that battle. I was definitely looking forward to 7 PM when the boys went down. Normally I veg and check blogs then, but I had a messy house to clean up. My sister-in-law called me tonight and is going to come in tomorrow. That should be fun and break up my week. Then we have Matt's brother and wife coming in Thursday. So, a busy week, but hopefully lots of fun.

problem solved!
I deleted my last post because I worried that my "friend" might one day Google my name and find it! :) Anyway, my problem has been solved!! She got a job yesterday and will no longer be home during the day. I figure she'll be too tired to call me in the evenings to go walking too! So, I've turned my phone back on!

an answered prayer
Blake did awesome last night! He went 12 hrs straight without a peep!! ahhh...the good ol' days! It was so nice for me to have 8 hrs solid! I hope he keeps it up! He's been a little constipated lately and yesterday got it all out of his system...so now I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it. Anyway, just had to share! (hope I'm not jinxing myself by posting this!)

houston happenings!
So, my sister informed me that I needed to update my blog since it's been a while. I guess I should have told her that if you don't have a blog...you can't tell me what to do with mine. Right, Carrie??? :)

Not much has been going on here. I'm still fighting with Blake who keeps rolling over in his sleep. It's very much getting old! grrr! I'm ready to pin the boys jammies to his bed if he doesn't stop. I've tried everything! I'd put him to sleep on his back, but he just didn't sleep that hard. One nap he kept waking up early. Then I decided to put him on his tummy during the day and his back at night...that kinda confused the poor kid. So, three therapy sessions later (jk!) I'm back to square one...I'm putting him down on his tummy and he's just going to have to figure out what to do when he rolls over in the middle of the night. I was worried that he'd wake up Andrew or Matt with his crying, but the only person he's waking up is ME!! I've gotta get something worked out because we have family coming in town in two weeks and they aren't going to want to listen to him freak out when he wakes up on his back.

For you mom's out there...I've really enjoyed this blog lately. She has become popular off an ebay auction. Anyway, I really enjoy her blogs.

I'll leave you with some pics of the boys...

Trying out his ExerSaucer.
Silly Andrew
This boy loves the tub!
Well, I have about an hour and a half before the boys get up from nappin' so I better get some cleaning done...or my hubby will beat me when he gets home! :) jk!

4 months
Blake turned 4 months old yesterday and today we went to the Dr. for shots! I hate shots. Poor kid was smiling at the nurse when she stuck him. Dr. said he is doing well for his age and that he's quite the talker...hmmm...wonder where he gets that from?! He's also in the 50th percent across the board.
He started rolling over again when we were out of town so the Dr. said to put him to sleep on his back. He said it would be okay since his reflux is getting better. So now I have to train him to fall asleep on his back. grrr! I put him down at nap time and he cried. He's quiet now so I'm thinking he's asleep.
Isn't he a sweetie? I just love those blue eyes!

back to reality
Yep, our vacation is over! We just got home this evening. It was sad to leave but I'm glad to be back home. I wouldn't really say it was a vacation per say...I worked my butt off! Going out of town is more work than being home. Living out of bags is a pain and I was constantly misplacing my stuff! Here's a little recap of our trip...

We left a week ago Friday and headed to Shreveport (Bossier really) for the night. Got up Saturday and headed to Camden, AR to visit with John and Amy. John's dad had passed away and they were in town. We hated the circumstances but really enjoyed seeing them.
Look at my spastic child...he doesn't have time for pics!
We have already arranged marriage for these two!
After visiting with the Schaffners we headed on to Cabot, AR to see Matt's family.
The boys played the Wii while the girls cooked and took care of the boys! :)
Aunt Rachel...she was a big help.
Cousin Jack!
We left Cabot on Tuesday and head to Hot Springs Village, AR to visit my parents. We were basically on the lake the whole time.
Grandma and Papa Miller
Andrew loved being on the boat.
Swimming with Daddy. Josh and Jill came out to The Village and skied with Matt yesterday. They took Andrew out on the tube (I don't have pics to prove it) and he LOVED it. He cried when it was time to get off.
Blake out on the boat. He enjoyed it, too!
Well, we enjoyed our visit with everyone. The boys had their moments...well, Andrew did, but they really were good. Blake didn't sleep that great in the pack 'n play so I'm hoping he gets a good night sleep tonight!! Now if I could just get someone to unpack for me and catch up my wash!!!

vacay
So, tomorrow our vacation begins! Somehow I manage to take half of the house with us. It's hard with kids. Everything is a need! It's more work packing for 3 now. Andrew wasn't much help as he kept unpacking his bag of toys I thought I had in a good hiding spot. Anyway, I'll do my best to update at least once while we are gone!

terrible twos
So when do the terrible twos end???? Do I have to wait until July 9th?? I don't think I'll make it! My precious Andrew was all about throwing a fit today when he didn't get EXACTLY what he wanted! Gee...I can't wait for Blake to turn two!

the boys
Well, I haven't updated in a while because the only thing we've been doing is meeting old friends at The Children's Museum. It's hard to really visit when your chasing your kids around, but hey...it beats playing in the heat! Anyway, no pics to prove it because I forgot my camera...both times! But Andrew enjoyed playing with his friends, Kate and Benjamin!!
On to other stuff...like Blake! You know, Blake's been rolling from his tummy to his back for about 6 weeks now. It was so cute...at first! He was so quick that I couldn't catch it on camera. When he first rolled over I was so excited because this meant I could put him to bed on his belly!! Life was great! He'd been sleeping 12 hrs at night and all was just grand....until 2 weeks ago!! Blake started rolling over in his sleep!!!! UGH! It wouldn't be that bad if HE DIDN'T WAKE UP! He has been doing this at least once a night. The first time he did this he kicked on his mobile. I heard the music playing at 3 AM and wondered if he was having a party in his crib. He was all talking and cooing. I went in there to find him looking at his mobile. He was so excited to see me. I thought it was cute and funny...mind you this was the first time this happened. Now, he's just rolling on his back and talking. He hasn't turned his mobile on again and he's not looking so cute at 2, 3, or 4AM!! I'm tired and tired of going in there to flip the boy back over! Do you think it would be bad if I put a brick on his back to weigh him down? Anyone have any ideas? I've tried putting him down on his back for naps (which my Dr said not to do b/c of reflux) but he doesn't like it.
The culprit!
Andrew has taken a liking to Blake these days. He is constantly giving him kisses on his head and trying to play with him. He even tried to teach him to play the drums....
We've been working on potty training with Andrew. We put him on it every night before he goes in the tub. He's gone in it once and I think we were so excited that we freaked him out. He wouldn't get back on it for a week after that. Now he likes to sit and look at a book. Go figure!
We leave in less than a week to visit family and are looking forward to it. We will be gone a little over a week. I'm dreading trying to get the boys back in their routine when we get back though! I'm praying that Blake will forget how to roll over so I can get some good sleep before then!
