one sick little guy

Yep, Blake is sick AGAIN! Can the poor guy get a break? It's not his ears this time...it's another virus. We are all going a little crazy being couped up in this house! Hopefully he'll be back to normal soon!

Well, I guess it's been a while since I've updated...according to Jill. :P So, I guess I'll fill y'all in on what's been going on...

Andrew...he's good. Not much new with him....except I'm trying to move him to a preschool that's closer to our house next year. I have to register him next Saturday and am hoping I can get him in. It's filling up quickly. Thankfully, Matt will be around to watch the boys so I can run up there at the crack of dawn to wait in line.

Blake...well, I took him to the doctors this past Wednesday to see if the meds he was on were working...and they weren't. So we opted for shots. We had to go back Thursday and Friday for more shots. It was NOT fun! The Dr has suggested we see and ENT for a second opinion. I'll be setting that appointment up soon.

Blake is still going on the potty some. We had an extremely busy week and weren't able to stay home much to work on it. I'd really like to be home all day a couple of days and see how he'd do ...maybe next week. Yesterday he went 3 times tho. I would say he probably goes once a day. He's funny because he'll go and then run up to me and say "I tee tee potty!!" He's very proud of himself when he goes. We'll see. I'm not going to push him because I don't want it to be stressful.

Yesterday we met the Hoods and McNeals at the mall. It was SO much fun!!! Michelle found the mall we all met at and it was great. They had the best indoor play area.

The kids had a blast...and so did the moms! Thankfully Matt was with me and watched the boys while I chatted with Rachel and Michelle. I gave Blake his first cut. :) Not bad...if I do say so myself!

Afterwards we hit the food court!! Yum! Then the kiddos had some much needed ice cream after playing so hard!

We no more than got in the car and the boys were OUT! Blake was almost out at lunch.
Matt and I enjoyed the quiet ride home!! :)
Today we had a birthday party at Pump It Up! Andrew is WORN OUT! After a busy day yesterday and today...he's actually napping in his bed. I think it took him maybe 10 minutes to fall asleep. So, this is my time and I have other things to do than blog, Jill!!

big boy

I have to brag on my little man....he went on the potty TWO times today!!! This morning he had a dirty diaper but hadn't gone tee-tee. So, I asked him if he needed to go. He told me yes and actually went on the potty! Normally he'll come and tell me he needs to go...sit there....and then do nothing. Other than that, I had just been putting him on the potty before bath. So, I guess it's time we start potty training. I'm not going to push it though because I don't want it to be a stressful thing. We'll see if he keeps it up.

Blake is doing a little better. We didn't go up to church today as he was still having dirty diapers. Hopefully he'll be 100% better tomorrow.

Since we were stuck in the house today we decided to some painting.

Then we decided to string some beads on pipe cleaners. I thought this would be too hard for Blake, but he was a pro.

Then I decided to put some pom poms in a bottle. This was really for Blake because he likes playing with bottles for some reason. Anyway, Andrew enjoyed the bottle too.

And since it was so warm...we spent some time outside.

ahh...sweet brotherly love!!

Hopefully tomorrow we'll be just as productive!

I know I've said this before, but I don't think Blake has been feeling well since Christmas. I think he's had an ear infection or fluid in his ear that he just can't get rid of. How do I know this?...

Yep, occasionally I'd catch him walking around doing this little move...like his ear was bugging him. He would also bat at his ear and has been constantly been waking up at 6 or 6:30 AM (which is my time) and it's driving me crazy! He hasn't had a fever and hasn't been fussy. Can I really call a Dr and say....I think my child has an ear infection because he's waking up early and batting at his ear? Well, probably, but that wasn't convincing enough for my husband. Last Thursday he started with a runny nose and started running a fever Friday night. So, we've made it through the weekend and will be going to the Dr today at 2:30 for him to tell me that I was right...Blake has an ear infection!!!!

memory game fun!!

So, Megan has opened up a new Etsy shop!! She makes these ADORABLE memory games! This memory game ain't like no ordinary memory game...it's PERSONALIZED!!

It was super easy to order them too. I just uploaded my pictures and she did the rest! :) It was fun picking out pictures. I added silly ones of the boys, family pics, some of their friends and cousins!! I think we have a total of 30 pieces and an adorable bag that they go in...which is nice! I forgot to take a pic of the bag but go here and check it out.

Anyway, the boys have so much fun with this game. They love to look at all the fun pictures too!! Well, Blake just likes looking at the pictures and stealing the pieces while Andrew and I play! Andrew saying..not a match.
A match!! So, if you are looking for a special gift...I highly recommend this fun game...and not just because Megan is my friend. I love personalized gifts (ask Michelle!)...it just makes 'em more fun!! Thank you, Megan! We love it!!!!!

outside fun

Look at me!...two posts in one day!

It has been SO nice here lately. The mornings are a little chilly but the afternoons have been great....except the past two days it's been extremely windy!

Anyway, yesterday it was pretty cloudy so we grabbed a blanket and our sunglasses and headed out back. We decided to see what shapes we could find in the clouds.

It was fun. Of course Blake had no clue what we were doing.
But he always enjoys looking cool in his glasses!

Then some "storm clouds" rolled in and our lesson was over. Blake didn't participate long. He was in deep thought over what he was going to eat for dinner, I'm sure.

I'm guessing he didn't think my last comment was funny.

train table

When we got this train table Matt said he eventually wanted to build a permanent track on it so the boys couldn't take it apart 50 million times. Last week he finally got around to it.

He set it up how he wanted it to look.

And then...
painted some water, roads, and a helicopter pad. The boys really like it. Blake has managed to pull a few pieces off...that boy is STRONG.. (i know, i carried his kicking self in my belly for 9 months) ..but after a few time outs, I think he has learned his lesson. The boys greatly appreciate their daddy's hard work!!

andrew's new chore

I'm trying to teach Andrew to make his bed. He did this all on his own. We are still working on it but I think he'll get there.And, yeah, he still sleeps with his aquarium because he's obsessed with Nemo!!
