pumpkin patch

We met some friends at the pumpkin patch by our house today. It was nice and cool but very wet. ugh! Enjoy the pics!

You can look here or here and see our past trips.

Our attempt at a family pic...

one sleepy boy

Thursday Andrew woke up with a barking cough...yep, croup. He's been hoarse lately too so I kept him home from school. We just vegged that morning. Before nap I was taking Andrew's temp to see if he had a fever. Blake went and laid down on the floor. When I asked him if he wanted to go to bed he said NO! Four minutes later the boy was OUT! Matt and I thought it was so funny we took a pic. Then Andrew had to get in on the picture. He's a mess!

little update on the boys...

I figure it's time for a little update on the boys. I haven't really given an update on what they are doing these days and it helps me when I scrap. So, I'm not just doing this for my readers but for me! And you can enjoy some pics I took at the park today. We met some friends at the toddler park again. The boys had fun and wore themselves out! Works for me!!
We'll start with Blake...these days Blake is ALL over the place! He doesn't have much time to sit...unless you are reading him a story or he's extremely tired! He LOVES balls and tells you each time he finds one! He's become quite the little talker! He says...all done, more please, shoes on, ball, outside, no (his favorite word), something that is supposed to be love you, uh-oh, oh no, hi, bye, baby, toes, cat, dog, happy, help, up...can't think of what else...aside from mommy and daddy...oh and can count to three. He can find some body parts and make some animal noises. Can't think what else.
He is definitely at such a fun age. Next month he'll be 18 months. Crazy!
Where does the time go?
How weird is that swing? Blake loves it. Anything to make him feel like a big boy!!
On to Andrew... he is LOVING preschool!! He barely tells me bye when I drop him off. Kinda makes me sad but I'm so glad that he likes it. He has learned so much and is really getting a lot out of it. Makes me very happy!
We were struggling with his behavior...not wanting to do what we asked and having meltdowns. I've started to do a behavior chart and it has made a WORLD of a difference in him!! YEA! I'm hoping he keeps it up.
I'm also hoping he gets over his sinus stuff soon! Poor guy can barely talk with all that drainage!

And here's a pic of our awesome daddy! I'm very thankful that he's able to go and do so much fun stuff with us!! It's definitely nice having the help!!

Well, that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure I left stuff out but I'm trying to watch Private Practice and talk on the phone all while I blog! Nice, huh?

just a random post...

I don't have time to blog as I really want to scrap before the boys get up. So, here are some pics from this week...
Here's Blake thinking he's a big boy...

And his silly face...

Andrew wasn't too happy here. He was all upset because Blake had firetruck jammies. He would be REALLY upset to know that those were HIS jammies!!

Today we met some friends at a toddler park. The boys had a blast and were worn out! I brought my camera thinking I'd get some good pics but little B was ALL over the place! He was NOT afraid of anything! He had a blast tho and didn't get hurt!
Here are the few pics I got...
They loved playing on the seesaw.
It's getting cooler and we are loving it! We are definitely taking advantage of it while we can.

mornin' pics...

I took these pics this morning and figured I'd share them here.
Blake has become such a big boy! He loves to do EVERYTHING his big brother does...EVERYTHING! If Andrew is in time out...Blake is right there with him just sitting there waiting on Andrew to get out. It's funny. He also likes to flush the potty when Andrew is going and it DRIVES Andrew CrAzY! I think it's funny but I do get on to Blake. Andrew's coming around tho. They also have started entertaining each other so that's been nice. Anyway, Blake's latest thing is sitting on the bench at the table. This morning he was a big boy and ate his whole breakfast there...
Of course, after that he stood up on the bench to mess with my few flowers I have left...
what? i wasn't touching anything!
Matt and Andrew brought me these tulips home Thursday and Blake has messed with them every day since! I only have a few left because of that boy! He is definitely into EVERYTHING !!And because we can't leave out Andrew....here he is with his bedhead!
He's not into the picture taking these days!! :)

a rabbit

Lately Andrew has been scared of going to bed. I should add that he's woken up having bad dreams...not sure why. Anyway, while he's getting in bed he constantly reminds himself that we are right there if he needs us and that there is nothing to be scared of. I have to check the closet and under the bed too. Well, the other night he told me the rabbit wouldn't be scary. I looked to where he pointed and explained it was only a nightlight. Then he said...no, Mommy, the shadow. Well, I was standing up and couldn't see a rabbit...but this morning I crawled in bed with him when he was waking up and I SAW THE RABBIT! It was so funny that I just had to share. Can you see it? What an imagination!

weekend pics

Guess who I got to see yesterday...JILL!! She graced us with her presence. She brought D, Julie (her sister) and Mike with her. It was a good visit, but as you can see, Andrew was a complete attention hog!!! Thanks for coming out of your way to see us, Jill!!We took this picture before church today. I wish we did this more often but usually we are running out the door so we make it on time.

my bilingual boy

Andrew has Spanish once a week at school. So far he's been three times and this is what he's learned... (try to ignore Matt vacuuming in the background.)
He still needs a little work. :)

san antonio

Saturday we headed out with some friends to San Antonio!! It was DEFINITELY the BEST trip we've EVER taken!...aside from seeing family, of course! :)
The kids had SO much fun. You wouldn't know it by this first pic. They had no idea what they were about to see.The first show we went to was the dolphin show. It was AWESOME and probably my favorite. When the dolphins came shooting out of the water Andrew screamed with excitement! It was so cute. The people around us started laughing...and he did this at EVERY show! Blake also enjoyed the shows. I worried about him being too little but he loved the music, the animals jumping out of the water and clapped when everyone else did. It was funny.
Andrew showing his excitement...

Shamu...Andrew and Daddy feeding the dolphins. Brotherly love!! ....
family pic...

We got there right when it opened on Sunday and left about 3 PM. It didn't start getting busy until the time we were leaving. I was SO glad. Michelle had me worried a little about this trip and all the people. I'm NOT one for crowds!! Sunday is the day to go!
On Monday we loaded up the car...with the boys help and headed to the zoo...

I didn't think the zoo was as great as Houston's zoo...but Matt didn't agree with me.

Here are the kiddos with a grizzly!! He was kind enough to pose for us...

Andrew holding Mary's hand.

Little B was SUCH a trooper this whole trip. He didn't sit in his stroller much at the zoo. He loves to think he's as big as Andrew...and walked with Daddy most of the time... Before we headed back home, we took a ride on the train. Here are the boys waiting on it...
So, that's our trip! The boys were worn out and slept for almost 2 hours on the way home...it was nice! We had a great time and I can't wait to go back!!
