33 weeks

I'm only 33 weeks and I'm SO ready! Probably not ready for the sleepless nights, but ready to just feel comfortable again!I went to the doctor today and am measuring 33 weeks. I'll probably be induced the week before. It's easier for me to be induced with Matt's schedule. Anyway, she did an ultra sound and Claire still looks like a girl. :) Yes, I've had my doubts because you just never know. And you can tell she has hair!! Hopefully just enough to hold a bow!!

The boys are getting excited about meeting their sister. Andrew has all sorts of questions. Today he asked what Claire was wearing. He did not like hearing she didn't have clothes on. It will be interesting to see how they act once she gets here!

boring blog

This post is for my "friend" who rarely comments on my blog, doesn't have a blog...AND tells me when I need to update!! Are ya happy?

My blog has been neglected, but at least my children haven't! :)

Of course Blake looks a little pathetic in this pic. He was playing hard outside and wasn't happy he had to come in! We are definitely loving the cooler weather!!

Andrew is sporting a new do these days! He thinks he's a big kid with his hair like this! Crazy kid. I think he looks cute, so I don't mind.

We are getting Claire's room together. Her bedding should come in tomorrow and I can't wait!! Pink is DEFINITELY a hard color to work with! She'll be here in 7-8 weeks and I think the boys are just as excited as I am....of course I'm not ready for the sleepless nights!

shhh...don't tell andrew...

but Blake definitely enjoys playing with Andrew's toys while he's gone. :)When we were pulling in the driveway, after dropping Andrew of at school, Blake said..Mommy, I play with Andrew's McQueen? Of course I let him. Doesn't he look so happy with Andrew's McQueen???

pre-K

Today is Andrew's first day at Pre-K!! I've been anxiously awaiting this day. :) Thankfully Andrew was SO excited about going. When we pulled in the parking lot Andrew said, "I'm SO excited, Mommy!" I was SO glad to hear that. As much as I've been looking forward to it, I've been a little nervous as to how he will do. This is a new school for him so he doesn't know any kids. He's had a lot of questions about it and this morning said he was going to be shy at school. We'll see.Blake, on the other hand, was NOT happy to see his brother go to "pee-stool" without him! He kept telling me he wanted to go to Andrew's school and not stay with Mommy. I feel the love! He whined when we left and has been talking about Andrew, but he's doing better than I thought he would. Blake is on the waiting list at Andrew's school, but I'm not holding my breath that he'll get in. Andrew will only go 3 days a week so Blake and I will just enjoy our time without Andrew.
We're off to the mall!! I promised Blake he could ride the horse. He's got a cold so we can't go anywhere to play. He probably shouldn't ride the horse either, but I can at least clean that off!

crazy boys and little update

I found out less than a week ago that I'm anemic. I did the glucose test (which I passed...not sure how since I totally ganked it up) and I guess they go ahead and check for anemia. When the nurse called to tell me I'm anemic I was SO glad!! I don't know how I didn't think of it. I have been SO tired. I don't feel like I ever had that 2nd trimester burst of energy. So, I've been on iron pills for the past 5 days and today was the first day I felt like I actually had energy and didn't need a nap! Yea!!

We've also FINALLY decided on a name for our little girl!! It came down to Caroline (which I really liked...Caroline has been my favorite girl name since before having kids) and Claire. We decided to let the boys pick what name they liked the best and they chose Claire Elizabeth! So, we are all ready for November to get here so we can meet little Claire!!

Andrew is starting PreK in a week so I ordered him some tags from The Blue Barn for his lunch boxes. I figured a lunch box is too hard to monogram...so what better way to put his name on it?? Yes, he has two lunch boxes. The McQueen one was a gift. I actually used them both throughout the year last year.
And while Blake is still on a waiting list...I went ahead and had one made for his lunch box too!!

my big boy

A week ago we moved Blake into his BIG BOY BED!! I couldn't believe it was that time already. We had the toddler bed/crib my sister let us borrow for Andrew, but we (okay I) thought Blake could just go straight to a big bed.

The first night he did great...no problem going down. The second night?...not so much! He cried and fussed and I was beginning to think we'd (okay, I) had made a mistake. I went in there and pulled a Super Nanny on him. I sat on his floor by his door and he was asleep in 15 mins. The whole time I was worried I was going to have to sit in there for weeks before he'd go to bed on his own. I was beginning to wonder what I had just started. The third night he said he wanted his Nemo. It was an aquarium that was attached to his crib. We couldn't attach it to his bed, but we figured out a way to put it on his bookshelf. It comes with a remote and this thing has saved me!! That third night and on...he's gone down like a pro. I guess it was a security for him. After nap...he asked me to take this pic of him.

In the mornings he does great. EVERY time we put him to bed he says, "stay in bed until Mommy comes to get you!!" Like it's a game. When I go in there to get him he's so proud of himself!! I'm proud of him too. I really thought he would try to come out of his room, but he hasn't. Hope this don't change this week. I'm probably jinxing myself!! It's a new toy for the boys to play on!

pool time!!

While this summer has been EXTREMELY HOT, it has been a great summer for swimming! The boys have really enjoyed it too. They both have turned into little fish! Their favorite thing has been the slide. It took Andrew a while to get used to it. He didn't like water splashing in his face. Now he loves it!

Blake could have cared less. He is such a little firecracker!! He was ALL about the slides this summer.

We sure are going to be sad when the pool closes in a week.
