halloween night

So, this was Andrew's first Halloween to actually go trick or treating. Matt had to work and I was a little bummed he wouldn't be able to join in on the fun. Here are some pics from our night....

The boys caught on quickly and didn't want to come home. It was a fun night...I'm exhausted and hitting the hay!

..who badly needs a haircut! I've been debating whether I want to cut it or grow those curls out. Since we are going to visit family soon I figured I'll just get it done. He's starting to get a mop on his head!

Not much to blog about these days....obviously since I'm blogging about my childs hair!! The blogging world is pretty slow these days!

little update

I figure it's about time I update....

Boys are good. Andrew is such a boy! He loves cars, planes, trains, and boats. All he does is play with them all day long. Whenever you see him you are guaranteed to find one of them in his hands...no matter where he is! He's starting to like his little brother. He'll actually get on the floor and talk to Blake and stuff. It's cute. He's also into holding him and has even given him some of a bottle.

Blake is getting big! Has both bottom teeth in and I figure the top ones are coming soon as he's drooling a lot. He's all over the place rolling and trying to scoot. Today he actually got up on all fours. I'm sure it was by accident but I have a feeling he's about to get pretty mobile! He also started saying dada about a week ago. I was hoping he'd say mama first like Andrew, but I'll live....and it made Daddy's day hearing him say it.

Blake's reflux is getting a little better. He's off the prevacid but still on the other stuff to help him not spit up as much. I'm going to take him in this week for a weight check because he's spitting up quite a bit...which means they need to up his meds...hence the weight check...it's not because I think my kid is skinny or anything!

We are going to visit family in a week. Matt is going hunting with his dad so I'm going to stay with my family. I'm looking forward to it as it's been a while since I've seen my parents.

My only other news is ...I got a job! Yep, a job and I wasn't even looking! A while back I told y'all about taking the boys to story time. Well, that place mentioned that they were looking for part time help. I'll be working 5 hours a week and get 40% off!! I deleted the blog telling y'all where we did story time because I don't want someone stalking me there! Anyway, I'm excited! I'll definitely be putting the 40% too good use!!

Yep, no more potty training in this house. I wish it was because Andrew got the hang of it, but it's not! I just don't think he's ready. He does really well if I put him on it every 30 mins or so but he won't tell me when he needs to go. So, I think we are just going to take a break and try again when he shows interest again. I'm guessing it will definitely be before he turns 5!!!

pumpkin patch

This morning we met some friends at the pumpkin patch up the road. I was so excited because it was 56 degrees at 8:45 AM. I thought it would be nice and cool by the time we left. Boy was I wrong! It was nearly 80 degrees!! So I had to get everyone out of jeans and put shorts on. Hopefully it will stay cooler here soon!

I can't believe Blake is already 5 months old! Makes me sad! Before I know it he'll be one. Where does the time go? I don't know why, but I totally have the baby itch. Am I crazy or what? I can't even imagine what three kids would be like so we'll be waiting.

My neighbor made the comment about Andrew still being a baby (11 months) when I got pregnant and how she wants to spend as much time with her first before having her second. I kept my mouth shut, but I totally disagree. If Andrew had been 5 months when I got pregnant, then yah, he would have still been a baby. I don't feel like we took anything away from Andrew by getting pregnant when he was 11 months. Hopefully we gave him a best friend (well, WE didn't actually give him a best friend..but ya know what I mean.) I wanted to say...what about your second kid? How are you going to spend the time with him/her like you did with the first one? You won't because your first child will be around. And even if Andrew had been 5 months old when we got pregnant it would have been a decision that my husband and I made. I don't know why some people need to add their two cents. Makes me wonder if I say stupid stuff like that to people. I sure hope not. Anyway, that's just my two cents. :)

So, we are still potty training Andrew. How long is this gonna take? We've been doing it a little over a week now. This week I started putting him on the potty ever 20-30 mins. He's doing pretty good with it...but hates having to sit on it all the time. I've had to bring his potty out into the living room so he'll stay on it for longer than a second. I kinda wonder if he's really ready. Sometimes he goes just a little and sometimes a lot. Yesterday he went on it 9 times!!! (and we weren't even home in the morning)...but he also went in his big boy undies probably 4 times. I know that he will have accidents but when he does go in his undies he could care less. He doesn't come tell me he's done anything...except when he goes #2. So, mom's out there who have done the whole potty training deal...spill the beans...give me some tips/secrets. And, yes, I do give him stickers and a treat (one M&M!)

Thanks to everyone for all my birthday wishes on Facebook, MySpace and on here!! I also enjoyed the vlog birthday wish. Y'all are too sweet! Thanks for making my day extra special!

I had a nice birthday, but I don't feel old...yet. Matt kept the boys while I helped with a garage sale and then we had a party that evening. It was a busy day and I was pretty exhausted when I got home. I have to say that one of the sweetest things (aside from Jill's blog) was hearing Andrew sing happy birthday to me! He LOVES birthdays...probably because he gets to eat cake.

Actually, I wouldn't have scanned most of them because I looked gross. What was up with my extremely short hair? Eww! Some friends y'all are...no one told me my hair looked awful back then!! I also have countless pictures of us trying to take pics of ourselves. Anyway, brought back old memories....good times, good times.
