I'm always showing Blake's tricks. So here's Andrew's. It takes him a minute to get warmed up.

time change and b

I was truly dreading the time change. I figured the boys would be all outta wack! I even tried to find an old post to see if it messed Andrew up last Spring. No such luck. Anyway, I'm lovin' it!! The boys are waking up an hour later and still going to bed at the same time! I actually had to wake Andrew up the past two days because he's been sleeping until 8 and that's just too late. If he goes past that I'm pretty sure he wouldn't nap. I can't be having no naps for him yet!!! I'm sure in a few weeks things will get back to normal and Blake will be back to waking up at 7 but until then...I'm enjoying it!! Now if I would just get to bed early!!

Here's my little trouble maker!!

I let him play in this cabinet the other day so he would quit tuggin' on my pants while I made breakfast. He had it destroyed in less than a minute!!!

He's trying to look innocent!! Don't let him fool you!!

slacker

Yeah, I've been a slacker lately when it comes to bloggin. Don't really have a good excuse!

We moved Andrew out of his toddler bed and into a daybed. He has always done really well with staying in bed and doesn't get out until we go in there and open the door. However, he started throwing a fit a few weeks ago when it comes to going to bed or taking a nap. He tries to stretch out story time...asks us to rock him...you name it. I'll leave the room and he'll call me back in. Unfortunately for him, I only go back once! So, that's the major issue with him.

He has a big ol' bed and sleeps just on his pillow. Guess he just loves the pillow case so much that my sister gave him!! Crazy kid! I still have some stuff to get for his bed...like sheets and a bed skirt and then I think we'll be done in there.

Little B's not feeling all that great. He started with a fever yesterday after church. He just got up from his nap and while he's not running a fever he's very clingy!! Well, I'm being paged!

granny, buddy and boys...

Matt's parents and sister came in this past weekend. We had a nice visit with them. It's always nice to have company come in that change diapers, give baths and entertain your kiddos! Saturday we went to Old MacDonald's Farm. We were there maybe two hours and could have stayed longer but the place was closing. Andrew had a blast! He got to touch all kinds of animals and I was right behind him with sanitizer!!!He definitely enjoyed his ride on the horse. He just jumped right up there.

And he enjoyed the weak train ride with Granny and Aunt Rachel.

Blake enjoyed being carried by Buddy the WHOLE time.

The boys definitely enjoyed all the attention!...you know, because they are so mistreated!!

I have to add that Blake has been taking 3 steps today!! He's done just one step a couple of times but I figured that really doesn't count. But 3 counts! I put him down from his chair after lunch and he wanted to stand and then took 3 steps. He's still wobbly so I'm sure it will be a while before he really takes off, but it's a start!

weekend in review...

Andrew seemed a little under the weather this weekend so we were couped up in the house. The boys found plenty to do though....

Andrew blamed it on Blake!! All I heard was...Blake..no,no!!

We skipped church Sunday. So, Andrew decided preach for us...

1. Public restrooms gross me out so much that I won't even chew my gum in them.

2. I'm a reality TV freak. If it's a reality show...I'll probably watch it.

4. I can't stand stores that don't have enough room for strollers because they are packed with clothes....GYMBOREE and CHILDREN'S PLACE!! This doesn't stop me from shopping in them tho. I usually have Matt watch the boys or curse the store while I'm shoving my stroller between racks!!

5. I don't do the dinner dishes. Matt basically does them every night. If the boys don't need a bath that night then I'll be nice and help.

6. I try not to stay signed into Yahoo Messenger in the mornings so I can stay on top of the housework. Otherwise I get distracted talking to people online and emailing (Jill P., Kristi, and family) all morning!!

Matt wants me to add that I leave shoes around the house. Matt, we all can't be as perfect as you!! :P

happenings...

We'll we've had a busy week and I'm glad that we have NOTHING to do today...except meet some friends for dinner.

Matt painted on Wednesday and finished our room. It looks really nice and was the exact color I wanted...unlike our front room. :) He says he's done painting and if I see any mistakes not to tell him. It looks great!...especially for someone who doesn't tape!

Yesterday we had playgroup. Jill P. wanted me to fill y'all in on this. She wondered what one does at a play group. We don't have crafts or activities for the kids unless it falls on a holiday. We just let the kids run and play while the moms snack and chat!! There are 6 of us that do it and a total of 12 kiddos. 4 of those kiddos aren't walking. So, it's fun for all ages. Yesterday it was here and thankfully it was a nice day that that the kids played on to swing set the whole time! Less mess for my house!

Andrew is really loving his brother. He is constantly trying to get Blake to come play in his room. It's quite funny. I'm not sure why as Blake just wants to chew on his cars and tear his train tracks up...but he's learning what NO means! Also, Andrew is POTTY TRAINED!!! That's me screaming!! I'm so thrilled! It was such a long process of him telling me when he needed to go and then just not wanting to go at all. But he tells me when he needs to go and has been doing really well for almost two weeks now. I still put a pull-up on over his big boy underwear when we go out of the house just incase. I'm so proud of him. It definitely happened overnight!

Blake is a mess with a fun personality. He definitely tests his limits but is understanding what NO means. (Andrew loves telling Blake when he shouldn't be doing something.) He's started clapping the right way (not one had on top of the other) and if I have a show on and the audience starts clapping he does too. It's funny. He's standing longer by himself and getting a little more courageous trying to crawl up on things.

Well, I guess that's it from here. My maid didn't come today so I have some cleaning to do. :)
