This is the most recent picture I have that shows both of his teeth. They have grown a little bit more, but I just haven't been able to get a picture of them...or tried. :)Here's a question for you moms...once they get teeth in did you ....a.) take them to the dentist and b.) start brushing them? According to one website you should take them to the pediatric dentist as soon as they get teeth. My doctor says he doesn't need to go until he's about 2 or 3. He also said I don't need to brush them yet as long as he drinks a lot of water. What do you do? Just curious!

We brush Bailey and Roscoe's teeth with beef flavored toothpaste- does that help? :)
my mom (the dental hygientist) says the same as truc said - around 2 or 2 1/2 is fine. just begin brushing their teeth as soon as you can so the teeth are getting somewhat clean and so the child gets used to it. she also says that while there are just a few teeth, you can wipe them good with a clean washcloth - as children's teeth do not collect "build up" like adults do.
Just wipe them with a rag. We didn't start using toddler toothpaste and a toothbrush until 1. One, the toothpaste is expensive and two, the child was more willing. Our doctor says age 3 or 4 they should go to the dentist. Hannah went at age 4 to a pediatric dentist for a cleaning. She had sat in our dentist chair and let her count her teeth. The pediatric dentist suggest 3 for a cleaning. Age four was great, Hannah understood and was a perfect patient. I don't know when we will take Sarah probably 3, of course the longer you wait the cheaper it is! If you want to fork over the bucks go ahead and take him. He would look adorable in that chair!

Aww! Thanks for posting that Shan. He's so darn precious! I would give you advice on cleaning, but all I have are dogs!
thanks for all the advice girls!! and kristi...dog advice doesn't count! :)
When Anna got her first teeth we bought this product that is in the baby section at Wal-Mart with a finger brush and non-flouride toothpaste (don't remember the brand but it is a blue rubber thing that fits on your finger). We did not start using a real toothbrush until she was a year old. Also, Anna is having her first dentist appointment this week.
