update on claire

I figure I'll give a little update on Claire because whenever I decide to start her scrapbook I'll be able to look on here and see what she was doing this month!

Even though I can't catch it on camera...she smiles quite a bit. For some reason the flash turns a smile into a confused look. Guess it's the bright red light!?

I think she's kinda taking to the bunny. Guess she has Blake to thank for that.

She has become a wild little sleeper. She is all over her bed at night. Now I start her at one end because I know when she wakes up she'll be at the other!

This morning I found her like this...

sideways! And while it looks like her feet are in the right spot in her jammies...they are not. She is actually curled up in a ball.

She has become quite the little sleeper. She's been going 12-13 hours at night. And last night was the first night we didn't do a dream feed. I woke her this morning at 8 AM. Tonight she took her bottle at 6:30 PM and went down after that. We'll see how she does.

She's rolled 3 times now from her belly to her back. The first two times I wondered if I had put her down weird or something because I no more than put her down and she rolled. The 3rd time she had been on her belly for a while and when I went back to get her she was on her back.

Her reflux is doing much better. And I'm trying hard to remember to give it to her 3 times a day. Some days I struggle!

She's cooing some these days too. Not a whole lot, but when she does Andrew wants to know what she's saying.

Well, I guess that's it!

SNOW DAY!!

Today has been a very busy day. We had parent/teacher conferences, played in snow, played at the park and got Claire's pictures made! I'm exhausted!

One Friday a month our church has a preschool day. It's usually stuff like meeting at a pool, a park or activities at the church. Well, today was snow day!!

Andrew and Blake weren't too sure of it at first...

But they learned quickly how to make a snowball and throw it at Daddy. :) Claire wasn't too amused!

But the boys had fun and are worn out!!

Jill, this post is for you.

I'm sure you know why. :) She's sporting the cute outfit you got her. It was hard to get a decent picture because she kept looking at her feet! And this one was too cute not to put on her. She's already looking up to her big brother!! They get the biggest kick out of it when she smiles at them.

mobile time and crazy boys

We haven't moved Claire to her room yet. This is the longest I've kept a child in my room. Usually they grunt and moan and get kicked out about 5 weeks. We had family coming in until Claire was 6 weeks...so I kept her in our room a little longer. Then she got a cold for nearly 2 weeks. I'm hoping her ears will look good at her doctor visit on Monday and I'll be moving her to her room then. Yesterday I figured I'd get her used to her bed and let her enjoy her mobile. She loved it and stayed in there long enough for me to make dinner!

Either she's trying to reach for the mobile or she's raising her hand to ask when she is getting out.

Andrew came in and wanted me to take a picture of him with his sword...Then, Blakers came in and the craziness started!! They thought they were so funny touching the mobile with their swords.

Afterwards, Blake found his cape and Andrew wanted me to take a pic of them running in their capes.

They really wanted a pic of their capes flying behind them, but they weren't running fast enough because they kept looking at me!

Guess it was a day of picture taking!

blue jean babe and troublemakers

Claire got to wear her jeans to the doctors the other day. She definitely thought she was stylin'! Poor thing...she had a cold for a week and a half and come to find out she had fluid behind both ears. :( She wasn't fussy, but had been waking in the middle of her naps. So, I wondered if something was up. She's doing much better today.

For some reason this picture won't turn the right way, but Claire wanted to show off her Mary Jane socks...

Look what these troublemakers did...

They wanted to take a bath with their colors Santa brought. I specifically told them "DO NOT COLOR ON THE TILE!!!" Gotta love how they listen! And their water is dirty looking from the colors...my children aren't THAT dirty!! :)

claire update

Well, Miss Claire is getting big...in more ways than one! She'll be 8 weeks tomorrow :( and will be two months on the 16th. I can't believe how fast it's going.

She does enjoy her tummy time...and looking at herself in the mirror...such a girl!

She enjoys her bumbo....even if it's blue!

And loves to watch, smile and coo at her brothers.

We all went to church this morning.

This was the only decent pic Matt got of her all dressed up.

She stayed with us the whole time and aside from getting the hiccups during the middle of service...she was great!

The last two nights she went 8 hrs and I'm hoping she keeps it up. We'll see! She has a cold and once she gets rid of it she'll be moving to her bed and out of her bassinet! Maybe then she'll stretch it longer.

christmas and more

Wow! I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. Since we were busy with a new baby, we didn't have time to really sit back and enjoy this time of year. We did, however, enjoy our Christmas. It was nice to just veg at home....no packing and unpacking all the clothes and toys. It was nice!!

Claire was a little bored and fell asleep. I'm sure next year she'll be all about the toys.After Christmas my sister and her family came to meet Claire. We sure enjoyed their visit. We barely saw the boys for two days!!
Two days after the Becks left...Matt's parents came in. We also enjoyed our visit with them. This was the ONLY pic I got while they were her. Can't believe it!

santa

This morning we took the kiddos to the mall to see Santa. They were SUPER excited!! Well, Claire was just tired...but the boys were excited! We tried to see Santa yesterday at 10 AM when the mall opened and the line was CrAzY! So, we took them to the movies instead. Today we got there at 9 AM and we're 2nd in line! We had an hour to kill, but the boys did great. They had this...

They probably stood there for 45 minutes and didn't touch one! (surprisingly!)

Andrew told Santa he wanted a pirate ship and Blake told him he wanted a black train. Thankfully everyone was happy and nobody cried!

getting ready for Christmas

Last weekend a friend in Andrew's class had a Christmas party. We all showed up in our jammies and had pancakes and made crafts. The kids had a blast. Blake even cried when it was time to leave.

This was the only decent picture I got...the kids making crafts.

Then today Andrew's school put on a Christmas play. It was really cute! I was so proud of him! He sang his heart out up there!!
