On Thursday Andrew got to bring home his class friend...Sebastian. Andrew was SO thrilled. He couldn't wait to get home and show me and Blake. I, on the other hand, was not so thrilled. All I could think of was the countless other children that have brought Sebastian home and all the germs Sebastian was carrying! Am I a bad mom or what? So I sprayed him down with Lysol...and then gave him to Andrew to enjoy for the rest of the weekend. :) Not really...but I did think about it.

We had a fun weekend. When it rained we made a fort for them to play in.

Friday we went to the park, the ENT for Blake and then the library.
Yes, our library does have an area to read books but for some reason my boys like to plop down right where they are when they find the perfect book!

Saturday we went to a birthday party and met some friends for dinner at Culver's.

Andrew wanted to take Sebastian to church Sunday but Sebastian had to stay home.

Andrew enjoyed sleeping with Sebastian every night also!
He had a very fun weekend with Sebastian and is very sad that he has to go back to school tomorrow.

Well, I think I can officially say that Blake is ALL better!!! Praise the Lord! I was going a little crazy...and I'm sure it was no fun for him. I did enjoy all the cuddle time we had. Now we just need Andrew to get better! I think he's almost there tho. It's killing him because he sure does miss his milk.

We are going to take it easy the next couple of days tho. It's been rainy and cold here that I have no desire to get them back out in the germ infested world yet. :)

quick update

Blake's surgery went well. It didn't take long. Andrew went with us and he was really good. I worried he was going to get bored but we brought along our matching game! :) We only got to play 2 games and they called us back.

Doc said he did fine and they didn't have to take out his adenoids. We got home about 8:45 from the hospital. Finally about 10 I got him completely calmed down (yes, it took THAT long) but he was still throwing up. At 1:30 when he was STILL throwing up I was definitely questioning our decision of getting the tubes. At 4 we got a suppository the Dr. called in a so he'd quit getting sick. That definitely helped. He slept through the night without a problem. Yesterday he was fine until 11 he started running a very low fever and just wasn't himself. He started having dirty diapers again. The Doc called to check on him and said it sounds like he has a bug and not from the surgery. Then this morning when he woke up he threw up. I feel like we are never going to get him better!!

And if you are wondering why they went ahead with surgery even though he was sick (just dirty diapers at that point)...both of his doctors said as long as he didn't have any congestion he'd be okay.

Andrew is still sick but not throwing up. He seems fine and has no complaints. Please pray for us...they are SO ready to get out of this house!! It's been about 12 days now!!

Well, we are still home with a bug. Blake is STILL sick and Thursday night Andrew started getting sick. Other than tummy troubles, they are running around and seem normal. Tomorrow will be a week for Blake and the Dr. said it could take a week so I'm hoping he'll be 100% better tomorrow. We'll see. Thankfully Andrew didn't get it as bad as Blake. I'm sure he'll be better in a day or two.

Since we've been couped up in the house we've been trying to get creative on things to play with...shaving cream, playing in water outside, and painting the fence.

Tuesday Blake is having surgery for tubes. I'm SO ready for this! I really hope they make a difference. The Dr. said he might have to have his adenoids out too but won't know for sure until he goes in there. So, if you think of it...say a little pray for Blake Tuesday at 7 AM. He's really going to freak out because he is NOT a fan of the Dr. after those three day shots!! I'll let y'all know how it goes!

Yep, Blake is sick AGAIN! Can the poor guy get a break? It's not his ears this time...it's another virus. We are all going a little crazy being couped up in this house! Hopefully he'll be back to normal soon!

update

Well, I guess it's been a while since I've updated...according to Jill. :P So, I guess I'll fill y'all in on what's been going on...

Andrew...he's good. Not much new with him....except I'm trying to move him to a preschool that's closer to our house next year. I have to register him next Saturday and am hoping I can get him in. It's filling up quickly. Thankfully, Matt will be around to watch the boys so I can run up there at the crack of dawn to wait in line.

Blake...well, I took him to the doctors this past Wednesday to see if the meds he was on were working...and they weren't. So we opted for shots. We had to go back Thursday and Friday for more shots. It was NOT fun! The Dr has suggested we see and ENT for a second opinion. I'll be setting that appointment up soon.

Blake is still going on the potty some. We had an extremely busy week and weren't able to stay home much to work on it. I'd really like to be home all day a couple of days and see how he'd do ...maybe next week. Yesterday he went 3 times tho. I would say he probably goes once a day. He's funny because he'll go and then run up to me and say "I tee tee potty!!" He's very proud of himself when he goes. We'll see. I'm not going to push him because I don't want it to be stressful.

Yesterday we met the Hoods and McNeals at the mall. It was SO much fun!!! Michelle found the mall we all met at and it was great. They had the best indoor play area.

The kids had a blast...and so did the moms! Thankfully Matt was with me and watched the boys while I chatted with Rachel and Michelle. I gave Blake his first cut. :) Not bad...if I do say so myself!

Today we had a birthday party at Pump It Up! Andrew is WORN OUT! After a busy day yesterday and today...he's actually napping in his bed. I think it took him maybe 10 minutes to fall asleep. So, this is my time and I have other things to do than blog, Jill!!
