fort

I've been getting hate mail on my lack of blogging. So, I figured I'd post some pics of the new fort....well, it's not really new, Matt just added on to it.
Here's the old fort...

And the new fort...

side view...

inside view...

The inside isn't really finished. He still wants to make a chalkboard, hang up the phone and make a table...one that maybe folds up or something. If you look in the pic you can see those little benches..those store some of their toys.

Then he made a little sink/fridge/stove area that isn't completed either. Next to the white bowl we'll add nobs and draw circles for the burner. I'd also like to find a faucet.

and the windows...

When Matt started talking about adding on I couldn't see his vision. Finally I was like...just do it and hopefully it will turn out okay. :) Well, I think it turned out better than I expected! The boys LOVE it!! They play so well out there together. It's nice because I just open the door and out they go!! They actually play better out there when I'm not right there with them...not sure why. Anyway, there ya go!

nice job! now we need to see pics of the BOYS in the fort :) they make a chalkboard paint that y'all might could use on a piece of board to hang out there - might be more weatherproof but not sure. guess it would say on the can.

Did Santa come early to your house or what? Did Matt have a kit or just draw up his own plan? That's pretty impressive and we are glad you are stimulating the economy!
